02 Aug Shungit, the mysterious black stone
Today I want to talk about the Shungit!
Until relatively recently times I didn’t heard of it. But as a consequence asking for it, I started to search information.
Well, the Shungit is a black stone, not really heavy and the first time I had it in my hands it reminded me the jet in appearance and light weight, but the touch of Shungit is colder compared to the jet.
Its composition is essentially carbon, which can range from 30% to 98%. For its amorphous structure it would be considered a mineraloid.
We can find this gem in Russia, in the region of Karelia and its name comes from the village of Shunga.
The Shungit is considered a very special stone because it is the only mineral in the world containing fullerenes, the third most stable carbon after diamond and graphite form.
And also has therapeutic properties, it is considered a stone of extreme protection. It relieves pain, cleans the aura, attacks fatigue, protects instantly … among many other properties.
After knowing all of this mysterious stone, I went to a fair to try some luck.
I was sauntering through the fair enjoying the views of both sides of the aisles and I run into a stand of one of my trusted suppliers, the one where I buy these wonderful stone rings that you all like. The first thing I chose was a Shungit ring and as one thing leads to another, I ended up buying a very nice necklace also with this mysterious stone!
So, as you see in Bàguena gemmòlegs you will find Shungit and many other things!
